Review:
Football (need I say more?), bucket lists, an arch rival and enemies to lovers all wrapped up in one book. After reading the first book of the series I was waiting, what seemed like years, to get my hands on Jason and Felicity's story and I was not disappointed.
The story of Jason & Felicity is a constant stream of ups and downs. I really enjoyed that I was able to understand both characters because we got both points of view. I was pleasantly surprised because I thought Jason was going to be the only complex character, but Felicity had layers too. Once they strip each other bare, what is found underneath the layers is beautiful.
Jason is my favorite character. I love complicated characters, and he is definitely that. I loved being in his head, getting a different take on what he never shows on the outside. While Felicity is more of an open book, I still learned more of her issues and insecurities as well. Watching these two come together was angst ridden and messy, but what comes out of that is two people who are so different that they’re the best thing for each other. I love this couple!!
She had her list and falling for QB 1 was not on it, just like he had football and he never thought that he would fall for his step sister's best friend. Once he realizes his feelings, he risks everything. And I mean everything, which was a surprise. I love this series! I can’t wait for the next book, and I’m looking forward to Asher finally getting his happy ending.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
