Sometimes the epilogue to one story is the beginning of another.
From Wall Street Journal bestselling author Jasinda Wilder comes an all-new, emotionally gripping novel, The Cabin, available now!
One year ago, I buried my husband.
One year ago, I held his hand and said goodbye.
Now I spend most of my days lost somewhere between trying to remember every smallest detail of our lives, and trying to forget it all. I fill my hours with work until I’m too exhausted to remember him, to feel anything at all.
One year, 365 days—and then one knock at my door changes everything. A letter from him, a last request, a secret will:
My dearest Nadia,
Trust me, my love. One last time, trust me. Sometimes the epilogue to one story is the beginning of another.

REVIEW:
Only Jasinda can write a book that is so poignant, heartfelt and emotional; yet give you hope at the same time. Almost from the first chapter I knew this book was going to take me through the ringer and I was not wrong. How does a person live their best life when they know it is going to be painful and shorter than they expected?
Adrian was a man who loved his wife with everything he was. He tried his hardest to not leave her, but when the big C claims you, oftentimes you don’t have a choice. Once he gets the final diagnosis, he vows to make the most out of the time he has left. In order to do that he has important details to take care of. The main one, his wife; now and after he is gone.Nadia is a nurse and she loved Adrian. So much that when he is no longer with her, she doesn’t know how to move on without him. Or how to live. She knows he loves her, but doesn’t know how deeply until a year after he has passed away.
Nathan is a friend of Adrian’s and has a tragedy that he hasn’t been able to move on from. When he becomes friends with Nadia and you realize the depth of Adrian’s last months, it is truly heartbreaking.
Two people who have suffered an unbearable loss and have no desire to move on come together in an elaborate plan, that neither are aware of until the day they go to the cabin. When you marry “The One”, lose him or her, moving on and truly living is harder than you would think. Opening yourself up and taking the risk can seem impossible.
This book was an emotional, heartfelt journey into love, loss, acceptance and moving forward. Grab a box of tissues because you will need them. I hope Tess gets a book of her own. I highly recommend this book. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
