My Review

LJ and Marissa were a wonderful couple. Even though they didn't label themselves as a couple for a majority of the book that is exactly what they were. Each one was the person the other would call first when anything bad or good happened. They always had each other's backs and could rely on the other through thick and thin. Even though he was in love with her from an early age, he never acted on it and when he was ready, he found out that her dad was his college football coach. She was off limits.
There were a few hilarious moments in this book, but there were more poignant moments and heartfelt instances that broke my heart. Her relationship with her dad is pretty non existent and even though they are only friends her dad takes her relationship with LJ out on LJ. Just when they finally admit their feelings for each other, she gets scared and pushes him away. While I understood it, it frustrated me. I was so happy with the aha moment and can't wait for Keyton's story.
I have loved this series from the first book and they keep getting better. Not only do I recommend this book, but you really need to read the entire series. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

Maya Hughes, that's me!, can often be found sneaking in another chapter while hiding in the bathroom from her kids! :-) I'm a romance writer who loves taking inspiration from everyday life, namely my husband and biggest fan.
