I adore the fake relationship trope and Catherine Cowles knocked this one out of the park! Emotional, heart-warming, steamy and suspenseful—Anna and Mason’s story has it all!— Samantha Young, New York Times bestselling author
Beautifully Broken Redemption, an emotional marriage of convenience romance filled with suspense from Catherine Cowles, is out now!
She’s hiding secrets.
For Anna, keeping her deepest scars hidden from the world has always been a necessity—from the bruises of her childhood to the mistake that nearly cost her everything. To keep herself safe, she must keep everyone around her at a distance—especially the man who has tempted her since the moment they met.
His demons are taunting him.
Mason has done his best to bury the past by achieving more than he ever thought possible. But even with all of his success, his life feels empty.
When tragedy strikes, Anna is left fighting to protect the only family she has left. And Mason will do anything to keep her and her loved ones safe—even if that means the ring of wedding bells.
But as a new spark ignites between them, someone is watching.
And they’ll do whatever it takes to snuff out that light for good.

REVIEW:
Every book in this series is emotional and this book didn’t disappoint. Sitter Lake seems like a beautiful place with wonderful people. While every book in this series has broken characters, the journey they take to find their happiness is completely different. Mason (swoon) and Anna have known each other for awhile, but she has kept him in the friend zone because she feels it is safer for everyone involved.
Mason is a genuinely nice guy. He wants to help and protect everyone he cares about. He wants to get to know Anna better, but she keeps him at a distance. Anna has secrets that she isn’t ready to share with anyone. She is finally in a good place and has her sister back in her life. She doesn’t need or want a man. Taking care of her niece and nephew, temporarily, is all she needs. When her sister suddenly passes away, she is forced to open up to those around her. Mason offers his assistance, by marrying her, if needed. She doesn’t think it will come to that but quickly realizes the importance. Her parents want her niece and nephew and she refuses to let that happen.
While there are some lighthearted moments, this book has a lot of heavy moments. Tragic pasts and uncertain futures are a bit component. Anna has to learn to open up and trust people, even though it is hard. Mason has to learn slow down and not take everything as a personal affront.
I loved this book, even the hard to read parts. I was rooting for Mason, Anna and the kids to get their happily ever after. I am still not sure I like his sister. A fantastic series and book. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
