REVIEW:

The conclusion to Nix and Harleigh’s story was everything I expected and more. The connection and faith they have in each other is something to behold. They both have a lot of obstacles to overcome and heartbreaking home lives that it was hard to not feel bad for them.

Nix is strong, dependable and carries the weight of the world on his shoulders. He lives with guilt, now that he knows what Harleigh went through. His dad is horrible and wants him gone and he feels like he can’t leave his stepmom. The silver linings in his life are Harleigh and his friends. He does have one hope of getting out of the Row, football, but whether he takes leap remains to be seen.

Harleigh is stronger than she realizes, but doesn’t know how she can have everything she wants, which is Nix. She doesn’t want to hold him back, but she can’t stay away either. Her dad has made mistakes, and I wish there would have been a little more closure where that part of her story was concerned. She is insecure, with good reason, and she has a hard time with her “family”. There were some surprises, and I need more information about some of them. The group of people she surrounded herself with proved to be good people.

I loved this book and can’t wait to see what happens next with this group of friends. I am leaving a voluntary, honest review. Thank you Candi Kane PR for the ARC.
