An emotional, honest, raw story about friendship, love, betrayal and finding a way out of the darkness. Duncan and Imogen were friends first, along with Corey, but turned into more. A betrayal tore them apart and even though they both moved on and had marriages and kids, their hearts were still beating for each other.
Corey has one request that ends up putting Duncan and Imogen together again. This interaction could lead to them finding each other again if they can move past the hurt that Corey played a part in. Unfortunately, old beliefs and hurts can prove to be one climb that might be insurmountable.
Every character was well written and had so many facets that I never knew what to expect. The interactions of their respective children was delightful and real. The exes in the book kind of irritated me at times. After this wonderful start to a new series, I can’t wait to read more.
