Oh my word. This book had it all. Declan and Grant were so great together, it just seemed like their timing was never right. I loved how they fought to be together and never really moved on from the other. It may have taken years for them to finally get their second chance, but it was worth the wait.
Declan had a lot of growing and working on himself to do. He knew he loved Grant, but he didn’t know how to do a relationship, mainly due to his dad. I enjoyed his relationship with his mom and how he ultimately worked on himself and made the hard realizations on his own, with the help of someone. When he was finally able to see the light, he made some changes and made their relationship the priority.
Grant had some issues to deal with as well. He knew he wanted to be with Deck, but he found it hard to believe he wouldn’t just up an leave him again. His relationship with his grandpa was spectacular and I appreciated how he matured and tried to move on from Deck, even though it proved futile. The heart wants what the heart wants.
The connection grew over the years and they both matured, but circumstances still kept them apart. The intimate times were hot and their friendship was great. I loved every minute of these two finding their way back together. I can’t wait to read All in with Him. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
