Review ~ Lost Love by Kelly Elliott

Lost Love ~ Kelly Elliott ~                 Review

Steed is a man living with one regret- he lost the love of his life. Ten years after heartbreak, he is going home. As much add he wants to see Paxton, there is also part of him that wants time before that happens. A lot has changed for Steed since he left home, but his love for Paxton has remained strong.
Paxton loved Steed with all of her heart and planned to be with him the rest of her life. When he becomes scared and says /reacts horribly to need she gives him, it is the beginning of the end for them. Even though she has tried to move on, the love of your life cannot be replaced.
Chloe is a little girl with a gigantic heart. You will fall in love with her her, but will she want Steed and Paxton together?  Is she closer to Steed or Paxton (this is kind of a truck question)?  Will Chloe get her deepest wish?
When Steed comes back home and is thrust back into her life, will she let him explain what happened and why he reacted the way he did a decade ago? Will Steed be able to apologize and win the love of his life back?  What will Chloe think about everything?
I have loved every Kelly Elliott book, and this book did not disappoint. Pick up Lost Love today and find out if their love can be saved or if it is truly a Lost Love. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

Review ~ Scored

Review ~ Scored ~ Marquita Valentine

5 stars!

I loved the story of Dallas and Paige. Dallas is a well-known football star and Paige is small town girl who he is drawn to. Paige is attracted to Dallas, but has had one bad relationship after another, so she turns him down when he asks her out.

Dallas finds it refreshing that, not only does she not know who he is, but she is fiesty.  They start working together on a project for his charity and decide to restore things slow, with one stipulation, they keep it a secret. She demands it.

He agrees, but isn't happy about it. They both fall good the other, but she still wants it to be a secret. Will his grand feature break them for good or will she finally let their relationship be known?
There were times that I agreed with Paige's reasoning and there were other times that I wanted to smack her.  I liked Mike's part of the story and hope that there is another book about him.

Talk British to Me ~ Blog Tour

Talk British to Me ~ Robin Bielman ~ Blog Tour

Talk British to Me, an all-new sexy STANDALONE       romance from Robin Bielman is available now!!

Talk British to Me by Robin Bielman
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Synopsis

As the Dating Guy on L.A.’s top morning show, I give the single guy’s perspective on dating, love, and sex—and I give great advice. Everyone’s hooking up…well, except for me. Sure, I can get any woman I want, but I’ve got a “no relationship” clause in my contract and the only woman I want has “relationship” written all over her. Probably stamped on her ass, too. And wouldn’t I like to confirm that.

Unfortunately, she wants nothing to do with me. At all. Something about the next Ice Age might have even come up in her rebuttal. Adorable. Because she’s determined to ignore what one simple kiss proved: she wants me as badly as I want her.

Everything in me is screaming to go after her, but I’ve got a secret that I’m fairly certain will end up with her roasting my nuts over an open fire. So, job on the line? Check. Nuts on the line? Check. Can’t get her out of my head? Nail…meet coffin. But what a way to go…

About Robin:

When not attached to her laptop, USA Today Bestselling Author and RITA Finalist, Robin Bielman can almost always be found with her nose in a book. A California girl, the beach is her favorite place for fun and inspiration. Her fondness for swoon-worthy heroes who flirt and stumble upon the girl they can’t live without jumpstarts most of her story ideas.
She loves to go on adventures, and has skydived, scuba dived, parasailed, gotten lost in the wilderness (and only suffered a gazillion bug bites for it) hiked to waterfalls, and swam with dolphins. In her spare time she also likes to put her treadmill to good use while watching her favorite TV shows, take hikes with her hubby, indulge her sweet tooth, and play sock tug of war with her cute, but sometimes naughty dog, Harry.
She dreams of traveling to faraway places and loves to connect with readers. Keep in touch at all of her social media spots!

Excerpt

My cell pings with an incoming text as I approach the garage elevator, so I’m not exactly paying attention when I hear the elevator arrive and sense someone step out. I think I walk around the person, but my shoulder bumps hers.
The delicate feel of her has me jerking my head up.
“Sorry,” we say at the same time.
She’s holding a box piled high with envelopes that partially block her face. I don’t know if it’s from our slight collision or a natural misstep, but the box wobbles in her hands. She sucks in a breath. I slip my arm under the box to help keep it from tipping over, but that seems to make it worse, because the next thing I know, the envelopes are spilling out onto the ground.
“Son of a biscuit!” she says, unable to stop the box from crashing down but keeping herself on both feet.
I burst out laughing.
Hear me out. The “son of a biscuit” is damn adorable. I’ve never heard anyone actually use it before. But better still, the beautiful creature spewing such foul language is none other than the girl who dumped chicken wings on me. Teague.
“I’m glad you find this so—”
She stalls, finally meeting my eyes. Recognition crosses her face as she scrunches up her cute little nose in annoyance.
“Amusing?” I finish for her.
She opens her mouth to speak, but nothing comes out. The two of us running into each other again is pretty unbelievable. She huffs out a breath that’s a mixture of contempt and surprise.
“I’m just as surprised as you, baby.”
This time the sound she makes from the back of her throat is pure disgust. She drops to all fours to gather the envelopes back into the box.
I bend down to help, reaching for envelopes while never taking my eyes off her. She’s pissed about more than the dropped cargo. “Bad day?” I say.
She glares at me.
“I’m sorry about bumping you. I was looking down at my phone and thought I had plenty of room.”
Picture a hot girl with blue eyes so kind she couldn’t look daggers no matter how hard she tried. That’s what I’m privileged enough to be staring at now. The corners of my mouth pull up involuntarily. Her mouth, while set in a tight line, is sexy as fuck, those generous lips of hers distracting. “Seriously, Teague, I’m sorry.”
Her expression goes from hard to soft instantly. She sits back on her haunches, puts her hands on her thighs. “You remember my name?”

Scored Teaser

Scored, a sexy all-new STANDALONE from Marquita Valentine is coming June 20th!!!

Dallas Drake has a big salary and an even bigger…ego…and he’s not afraid to use either of them to his advantage. As infamous as he is attractive, Dallas has all the equipment necessary to bring home the win.

The first time I met him, I was in handcuffs.
The second, he saved me when I fell off a ladder.

Now? Now we’re working together to plan a charity event.

I may not be interested in what Dallas has to offer, but as the game goes on, I’m becoming more open to his passes.
Is he looking for the win, or just determined to score?

Falling For the Game Fiance ~ Release Day Review

Falling For the Fake Fiance is Live & Review

                                             Review

I received an ARC in exchange for and honest, voluntary review, via NetGalley.

This book had laughter, serious undertones and heart warming interactions. If you love a strong male character who thinks he knows what he wants and believes he is happy, until the right person comes into his life wakes him up, you will love this book. If you also, like a strong female character who believes she has everything under control and can do everything by herself until the right person makes her realize that everyone needs assistance once in awhile, this is your book.
Jill and Aaron were neighbors and friends when they were younger. Aaron went into the military and she stayed home. They had never thought of each other as more than neighbors and friends, at least she didn't. He was always attracted to her and didn't like when she was with other men.

Jill has always done everything on her own, but when her grammy dies, she leaves Jill her estate- under one condition. Jill has to marry within two months. Drowning her sorrows, because there is no way she can find a boyfriend and marry him within two months, she goes out with her friends. While out, she is speed dating and finding one weird guy after another. One of her friends leaves the table and texts her to go to a room in the hotel they are staying at. Once at the room, she doesn't see her friends, but she runs into Aaron and he is not the same kid neighbor that she remembers.

When Aaron comes back to his hometown to help his dad, he expects to get the job done as quickly as possible and get back to his town and start a new job. When he sees Jill, he invites he out to catch up. He thought she was beautiful when he was younger and now he believes she is even more beautiful.

They end up agreeing to have one night of passion and then going their separate ways, but fate has something else in mind. They start hanging out and growing closer. She introduces him to her daughter- with the help of her mother. He loves her daughter and they hit it off right away. Jill is very protective of her daughter, but when he offers to marry her so she can get the inheritance, she accepts. But they have to keep it a secret from everyone.

I believe this book moved at a believable pace, probably because it was set up and known from the beginning that they grew up together. While they both try to move slowly, they are both drawn to the other. They both realize that they want the relationship to be real, but they both know that he is leaving and she never wanted to be married. After they have feelings and realize that their feelings aren't fake, will they admit their feelings to each other? When she hears a phone call will she push him away or ask him what he really wants? Will Aaron take the job and leave Jill? Will he fight for Jill when he realizes he loves her?
