Masey breathes the question like
she’s not sure whether to believe me. I do my best to give her a reassuring
smile when what I really want is to strip her bare, kiss her breathless, then
rake my lips all over her body and focus on the parts that will make her sigh
and moan and ultimately scream.
“Yeah.”
“You won’t feel criticized?”
“Positive.”
“All right. I will.”
“Good. Last chance.”
“To back out?” She shakes her head.
“No. I-I want this.”
“This?” I know what she’s getting at.

She stops breathing again. Her eyes
slide shut. She tilts her face up to me. Without her heels, she’s a tiny thing.
I bend closer, closer, watching her lips softly purse.
My heart chugs. My blood races

Trace is a womanizer, but is changing due to his son. When his sister-in-law asks him to give her recently dumped friend a night she won’t forget, he agrees. Little does he know that he won’t want to let her go. Masey is a woman who spent ten years with a man, who in the long run, turned out to be a jerk.
I loved the chemistry between the couple and how nice Masey is. This is definitely a steamy book, but there’s great character development and a wonderful plot. This series keeps getting better. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
