REVIEW:

  Poseidon and Ashley’s story continues in this fast paced second installment. He is set to give her back to her father, even though he wants to keep her with him. He believes he is doing what is best for her because she deserves someone better than him. She knows she should hate him after what he did to her, but she is conflicted because all she wants is to be near him. 

  Ashley almost dies on more than one occasion and we get to see a different side to Poseidon. The cracks start showing and you realize that he isn’t as hard as everyone thinks he is. Seeing the glimpses of what he went through as a child was heartbreaking but gave valuable insight into what made him who he is. Even though he needs to stay away from her (in his mind) to keep her safe, he struggles. 

  When her dad makes an agreement to get her back, things get messy. Who is the real devil in this scenario, Poseidon or her dad?  The answer isn’t as easy as you might think. Who is the most willing to give up everything to keep her happy and safe and is what her dad tells Poseidon about his mom true?  Filled with twists and turns, you will be up late reading this book. But with the ending and one more book to go in the trilogy, you know Ms. Wilde will have you holding your breath to get to their happy ending.
