Entice Me by Kelly Elliott Review

Entice Me-Kelly Elliott

Review

Yet again Kelly pulls at the heart strings.  I have been rooting for Nash to get his HEA since Seduce Me.  I felt horrible for him when Lily cheated on him and was hoping she would come to her senses and realize that she loved him too, but I should never doubt that Kelly has a reason for doing what she does.  When he first meets Kaelynn, he is drawn to her and doesn't understand what is going on (he has guarded his heart and won't let anyone in since Lily).  He thinks that she feels something too, but inadvertently friend zones her.  He feels like she is keeping something from him and doesn't want to go down that path again.
Kaelynn is the best friend of Morgan, Nash's sister.  She is instantly attracted to Nash, but knows what happened to him, thanks to Lily.  She is keeping something from him, but she is afraid to tell him the truth because once people find out, they change and treat her differently.  She does try to tell him her secret multiple times, but something interrupts them every time.  Nash is too good to be true and she tries to push him away, but fails miserably.
Nash asks his friend to do a background check on Kaelynn because he wants to protect himself from falling for her if her secret is something big.  One friend is for it, the other tells him not to do it.  For his part, he does ask his friend to cancel it, but the friend doesn't relay the message.  Just when things are going good, it all comes crashing down.
Whether they choose to fight for the love they have found remains to be seen.  Even friends and family encourage both of them to admit their fault in what happened and to find a way to work it out because they have never been happier.  My only complaint is that there was no solid conclusion to his relationship with his dad.  It seemed to be a pretty big plot point and then it wasn't resolved.  Overall, I would recommend this, along with all of her books, to anyone who wants to read a great book.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
