Review:
This is a quick, easy book to read. There could be a trigger (a woman almost gets mugged), so if you don't want to read that and about her nightmares, this book isn't for you. Devin is the cop that comes to Shelby's rescue and there is a connection between the two that neither has felt before. When they keep bumping in to each other, he asks her out on a date. The relationship is a fast paced relationship, but it was also sweet. He helped her and took care of her. Her mugging was the beginning of a hard time in her life and he was her sweet protector. My only complaint is that I wish there would have been more chapters from Devin's pov, especially when his boss came to the hospital to talk to him. I wanted to know what they talked about. Overall, this was a good book that moved fast and had sweet, caring characters. I hope there is another book about Harper (her bf) and Bryce (his bf). I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
