Here’s to happily ever afters. All of them.

 REVIEW:

This was a great compilation of short love stories.  Some of them were too short, while others left me wanting more.  A wonderful charity and stories to help support the cause.

Flirting with a Good Night:  Cade and Sharon were friends who always wanted to be more, but never acted on it.  Now that he is home for good, they both decide to admit their feelings.  While the reunion was sweet and turned very sexy, I wish I would have had more of the chemistry between the two and maybe even a full book I could read now.

Christmas at the White House: This was a very short story about Brady, the President of the United States and his wife, Liz.  They are very much in love, but also busy.  She is out of sorts because she doesn't know where she stands or what she is allowed to do as the wife of the president.  There are a few hot scenes and they are a wonderful couple.  Again, I would like more of this couple.

Inked Fantasy: Jake and Jane are two people who meet in a bar for a night of fantasy.  Their night together is steamy and a fantasy fueled way to meet this couple.  The only question is: are they truly strangers or is their a deeper connection?  Cute and sweet.  I would love to have more of this couple and plan to read more of the entire family.

Inevitable: Kolton and Sierra are steeped in mystery, intrigue, danger and love.  This is a story of true perseverance, on Kolton's part, and respect.  Kolton and his brother have a sad past, one that they are trying to overcome.  Little do they know that his brother might be what tears his relationship with Sierra apart.  I really enjoyed this couple and if she hasn't already, hope that Ms. Ash writes a longer story about both couples.

The Scene: In this short story about James, an actress and a mystery man that comes into her trailer while she is trying to get her head on straight (she is having a hard time with a scene), is very steamy.  James' imagination is not lacking and the scene isn't what you expect it to be.  Is her mystery man truly someone she doesn't know?

Baby It's Cold Outside: I absolutely adored the way Michael and Harlow met.  Helping her get a Christmas tree up to her apartment, when she is having a horrible holiday season leads to a night they will never forget.  There is a cute twist at the end that I didn't see coming but leaves me wanting more of this couple and their friends.

You Walked In: Scout and Daisy have great chemistry and the fact that they knew each other previously, even briefly, helped me connect with this young couple.  This was a great introduction to their full YA story.

The Devil's Chessboard: Gabriel and Hades are two powerful men who are deeply in love with their wives.  There is mystery, intrigue, crime, danger and love in this short book.  This snippet made me want to read the books about both couples.

Bridge of Love: In this best friends little sister romance, Bridge and Emma both want to be with the other, but he pushes the attraction down because of the connection to her brother.  When her brother asks Bridge to watch out for Emma at a concert, he does just that and protects her when a guy that she knows tries to hurt her.  They finally kiss, but he walks away, leaving her wondering why.  This was the perfect way to introduce these characters for their series of books.

First Dance: Dayton and Summer are getting married in this book.  There were parts that were sweet, hot and steamy.  Seeing this snippet of their wedding and what leads up to the second book in this series was wonderful.

Shaken: Jacob and Lainey meet in an elevator on the day she gets fired and during an earthquake.  There was a lot that happened in this brief story and I figured out who the man was before it was revealed, but it didn't deter me from liking this couple.  Great chemistry and a need for more from this couple.

Inevitable: Jonathan is Summer's dad's best friend, and they both have been pushing down the desire they have for the other.  When she starts an internship at his company they finally act on the attraction.  He pushes her away because he doesn't want to end his friendship with her dad, but is miserable.  When they decide to be a couple, her dad doesn't take it well.  I was hoping that this book would be longer and I could see more of them and her dad.

White Ribbon: Julia is trying to start over after being betrayed by her fiance and her best friend.  When she meets Van their relationship moves ultra fast, but seems genuine at the same time.  Quick read with a fast love connection.  I would love more about this couple.

Once Upon a Snowstorm: Flint and Brinnah were friends in grade school with crushes on the other.  Now that they are grown, they reunite when she is presenting at his business.  The connection is still there and he invites her out to lunch.  Unfortunately, things don't go as planned and he feels as though he is messing up right and left.  Ms. Bene whet my appetite and left me wanting more of this adorable couple.

Delicious: Max, a celebrity chef and Franchesca, a woman who is beautiful but broken are neighbors who are escaping.  He gets a note she left for him and goes to confront her.  Sparks fly instantly, but they actually have a very revealing converation during lunch.  Instant connection and attraction.  A really short snippet but it had a lot of impactful parts to it.  A cute read with sexy scenes.

I'm Calling Dibs: A cute book about a young man who has waited patiently for the girl he likes to be single so he can finally ask her out  Rayne has just had her heart broken and claims that she isn’t in the market for a new man.  Enter Seth, a man who bides his time and treats her with respect. The chemistry was great and the way he treated her was sweat.  I would like more on these two and hopefully we will see them in the rest of the series

Ctl + Alt + Bang: I need the rest of this story now.  I need to know what happens when Melanie learns that Lukas has a secret and what it is.  I understand why he did what he did, but I wish he would have been honest with her when he realized he was starting to have real feelings for her.  Mel was scorned (but her revenge was hilarious) and she sure got off on the wrong foot with Lukas.  Will their relationship be able to withstand the truth?

Overall, this compilation of short books was outstanding.  There are usually at least a couple of books that I don’t like when I read an anthology, but this one was so well put together that I enjoyed every story in it.  I highly recommend this anthology.  I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
