SYNOPSIS

Ethan,
About last night... I could blame the bourbon. I could say I let things get out of hand, that I should have never called you, but I'm done lying to myself—to you. I know what you're going to say. You're not very good at keeping your opinions to yourself, but this can't happen. It's inappropriate, at best. I'm your boss. Not to mention, you're clearly still hung up on him. I'm not a consolation prize.

Anders~

**

Anders,
You didn't think it was inappropriate when you had your tongue down my throat, but I digress. As for your accusation, I'm not the only one stuck in the past, but at least I'm not running from it. I can't believe I'm about to say this… Maybe you're right. You shouldn’t have called me. Especially if you never intended to own it. Own that you wanted it to happen. Admit that you wanted me.

Not so sincerely,
Yours

REVIEW:

The love story between Anders and Ethan was absolutely astonishing and heart wrenching and had me reading into the wee hours of the morning. I couldn’t put this book down. While most say they were enemies first, I don’t agree. I think they both intrinsically knew the other was the one, so they were snarky to each other.

Anders doesn’t want Ethan working for him but does Wild a favor. Ethan is like a fish out of water and they had a horrible first impression (due to the position Anders found Ethan in in his bathroom) so neither one thinks the job will last long. The emails were wonderfully snarky but spot on where the assumptions were concerned.

I appreciated the fact that they got to know each other first before jumping into bed, and that their past relationships were a lot more baggage than they thought they would be. Ethan’s parental situation was heartbreaking but I loved the support Anders gave him. I felt horrible for Anders when his mom would say some of the things she said to him and adored Ethan for how he stood up for their relationship and helped his mom see the light.

I absolutely loved this couple and would love to read more. I highly recommend this book. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
