A Kiss for a Kiss by Helena Hunting Review

REVIEW

I loved this book, even though I wish it would have been longer. I would have liked to see some of the times they shared when they were keeping it a secret (even in flashbacks) and more of the pregnancy. The fact that they both were older was nice.
Jake was so sweet and I fell for him instantly. His initial reaction was not great, but realistic. He was always a great dad and I wanted him to get his happy ever after, and Hanna was the perfect person for him. In my opinion, being able to read the conversation he had with King would have had more of an impact and would have been better than Jake briefly mentioning it in his thoughts.
Hanna had a lot of heartache when she was younger and I was so proud of her when she finally stood up to her mom. Her relationship with King was strained and while their talk near the end of the book was nice, I wish we could see more mother/son bonding.
Jake and Hanna had a wonderful relationship, even when they were keeping it secret and not acknowledging they were in one. I hope Paxton gets a book and I can’t wait to read about the next generation, seeing Alex and Violet was great.
I have loved this series and look forward to what Ms. Hunting has coming next. This series, and this book have wedged inside my heart. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.
